If you do not have that amount of time and space available it is possible to do less, however, the chances of completing the program in 3 months becomes less likely.

Here’s a brief explanation of the differences between Clinical EFT, Internet EFT, Positive EFT, Michael’s EFT and this Training Program.

Clinical EFT

Clinical EFT refers to the standardized and evidence-based practice of Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) that is typically administered by trained professionals in a therapeutic setting. Because it involves the body, clinical EFT is considered a mind-and-body (somatic) practice.

This approach is based on a comprehensive set of protocols and procedures that have been validated through numerous scientific studies.

Clinical EFT is highly structured and follows a specific sequence to ensure effectiveness and consistency.

While it’s very effective, some of the disadvantages of clinical EFT are that it lacks flexibility, intuition, and the ability to combine different modalities and therapeutic approaches. This is because the practitioner must follow a very strict protocol when using EFT Tapping.

Internet EFT

Internet EFT refers to the practice of EFT as taught and performed online, often through videos, webinars, or self-help courses. This form of EFT is more accessible to the general public and can be used for a wide range of issues, from minor stress relief to more significant emotional challenges.

While it can be very effective, Internet EFT typically lacks the personalized guidance and tailored approach that a trained practitioner provides in a clinical setting.

Users may follow general tapping scripts and protocols available on websites or video platforms, which might not address individual needs as precisely as something like Clinical EFT.

Positive EFT

Positive EFT focuses on enhancing positive emotions and experiences rather than solely addressing negative issues and traumas.

Positive EFT involves tapping on the same meridian points but with affirmations and statements that emphasize positive outcomes and desired emotional states, similar to affirmation work.

This method can be useful for personal development, goal setting, and increasing overall well-being; however, its main disadvantage is that it doesn’t address deeper core psycho-emotional issues (e.g., trauma) and, therefore, can lack real therapeutic benefits.

While positive EFT Tapping can often help us feel good for a while, the effects are usually not long-lasting.

Therefore, it is recommended that Positive EFT be combined with something like Clinical EFT so that it covers all the areas more thoroughly and effectively.

Michael’s EFT Style and this EFT Training Program

Michael’s EFT Style is influenced by several different modalities, from Internet EFT (as displayed on his YouTube channel) to Clinical EFT combined with mindfulness and Chinese medicine theory. He is not a big fan of positive EFT.

Over the years, Michael has learned to incorporate only the modalities that he has found to be very effective, scientific and complementary.

These other modalities include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Somatic Awareness Therapy, Chinese medicine and Mindfulness.

This EFT Practitioner Training program uses Clinical EFT as its foundation.

It then subtly adds influences and techniques from the other modalities, such as those listed above. While we don’t go into each of these other modalities in-depth, any EFT student of this course will be able to see their influence in the course's contents and instruction.

Michael believes that students should be well-rounded and able to combine various modalities, allowing them to be creative yet still scientific and effective.
